Effective date: July 11, 2026
This policy explains what happens to your information when you use Splats on Mac, iPad, or iPhone.
The Splats app does not collect personal information, use third-party analytics, or track you across apps and websites.
The app does not sell or share personal information.
You choose which Gaussian splat scene files Splats opens, whether through the file picker, drag and drop, or Open With.
Scene files stay on your device unless you move, share, or sync them with a system feature or another app.
Splats stores app settings, recent-file references, security-scoped bookmarks, rendering options, and Splatpaper preferences on your device so it can remember your setup.
Splats uses this information only to run app features.
The viewer works locally and does not require an account.
When you open an App Clip link or QR code, Splats downloads that scene and stores it locally so it can display it.
If you email Splats or join the Factory updates list, your email address is used only to respond or send the updates you requested. Joining the list does not create a Splats account.
Factory interest submissions are stored and processed by Supabase on behalf of Splats. The stored record includes your email address, signup source, consent version, status, and submission dates.
To limit automated abuse, the submission service stores a keyed one-way hash derived from network request information. It does not store the raw network address, the record expires after one hour, and recurring cleanup removes expired records within the following hour.
You can unsubscribe or request deletion by contacting [email protected].
The website does not include third-party analytics or cross-site tracking.
Splats is not directed to children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
If this policy changes, the effective date above will be updated.
